Operations transformation
Transformation is all about financial results. Our approach to operations transformation includes three phases: diagnostic, planning and implementation.
The diagnostic sizes and prioritizes sources of value. Planning phase builds out a game plan to capture the value, including a project management office (PMO). Finally, in implementation, we put the diagnostic and planning to work. In this phase, our team supports project owners, accelerating progress and building capabilities along the way. In this phase, we also provide program oversight, holding regular "steering committee" meetings, highlighting program progress and potential risks to execution. Example deliverable: Reduce finished goods inventory by 20% Typical engagement duration: 2-6 months |
Strategy
Our strategy practice is focused on helping clients make critical decisions that will drive the success of their business. While strategy projects vary widely, they take on one of three forms: Due Diligence, Corporate Strategy or Operations Strategy.
In a due diligence process, the focus is to answer critical questions that drive a client's M&A decision: What is addressable market size? What is market perception of a potential target? What is the value of synergies for NewCo? Typical duration: 2-4 weeks Corporate Strategy is focused on selecting a path forward for a client: In which market should we play? What are the capabilities of our competitors? What would our financial performance be impacted by a product? Typical duration: 4-8 weeks Operations strategy is focused on re-imagining how a client executes its current business: Should we add a warehouse? If so, where? Should we consider shifting to a "just in time" delivery model, or stick to quarterly deliveries? Typical duration: 6-8 weeks |
Interim executive services
As an interim executive, a member (or members) of our team will assume an senior role on your team for a set period of time. In this model, we work "in" your business to drive a measurable financial result, typically for a period of 4-18 months.
This model makes most sense for clients that have a vacancy in their current org structure that makes an operations transformation infeasible. Because an interim executive is integrated into the business, they can take on tasks that may be impractical for an external consultant to provide, including revisions to team structure (e.g. hiring and layoffs). Typical duration: 4-18 months Example deliverable: improve sales by 20%, find replacement COO and fill CEO role |
